Pierre LAVILLAUREIX

I am passionate about electronics, LEAN and leadership. Since my first professional position I have driven continual improvements in processes, tools and employee development. During my latest role for Psion I was fully responsible for all aspects of the creation, set up and successful ongoing performance of their European Regional Distribution and Configuration Center (RDCC) in France. This organization was created in 2005 and has grown from being accountable for a small percentage of the overall revenue for the company to over 40% of the total group hardware sales throughput at its peak. Throughout this period of growth (different products, markets and technologies), I personally developed the first LEAN cells and processes used in the company and subsequently went on to help develop and implement the LEAN processes now used in our global facilities. Once the company set out on a centralization process in 2012, I worked with the Psion Corporate leadership team and local management team, including unions and Works Council to ensure a perfectly smooth transition of production and configuration from this facility to the Canadian head office. Following the transition of activities to Canada I have focused on helping the Canadian team implement the use of TEKRF (Psion wireless WMS system) to drive significant operational efficiencies in their warehousing operations. These challenges and many more through my career have enabled me to become expert in all aspects of running a remote RDCC. Infrastructure, technology, processes, tools, people and budgets. I am International in nature having managed functions in France and Canada and having worked on many cross functional projects in many countries.
